The leader in charge of planet Vega. His ambition was to take over the universe starting with planet Freed. He stole the technology from planet Freed and used it to build the super robot UFO Robo Grendizer. The Great Vega will leave his destroyed planet later on in the Grendizer series and settle in Skull Moon Base (shown below). |

| Vega Daio is a very stubborn individual whose arrogance reaches heights that are excessive. Even in the end before he was defeated by Duke Freed, he laughed and declared that he is the higher in authority. King Vega never addressed Commander Blacki directly, but will address Generals Gandal and Zuril and instruct them. His involvement in actual battle was very minimal. |

| His daughter Robina was going to marry Duke Freed before the invasion, and she will try to reunite with Duke Freed again near the end of the Grendizer series. Robina wished for peace and wanted everyone to live on planet Freed which was coming back to life, but King Vega refused to have any peace until Grendizer is defeated. |
