Danbi Makiba is the father of Goro and Hikaru. He is Dr. Umon's business partner in the farm of Shirakaba (below), which is close to the Space Science Centre. |

| At the beginning of the Grendizer series, Danbi loved UFO's and always wanted to meet space people. Later, when a Vegan saucer beast hurts his daughter Hikaru, he changes his mind about UFO's and will hate them. Danbi will fight them whenever he gets the chance. |

Danbi used to not like Daisuke who he considered lazy and useless. Danbi will realize Daisuke's true identity later on and appreciate those times when Daisuke disappeared. |

Danbi Makiba is quite the character, he used to be in the West and this explains his appearance in the way he dresses. He is very funny and comical, and he can be very useful in helping fight the Vegans. |
