Grendizer Base

After his escape from planet Freed, Duke Freed crash-landed with Grendizer on Earth.  He was found on Mount Fuji (below) by Dr. Umon by coincidence.

Dr. Umon adopted Duke Freed as his son under the name Daisuke Umon.  The UFO Robo Grendizer super robot remained hidden under the Space Science Centre for two years before being used again; the first time since Duke Freed repossessed the super robot and used it to escape from Freed during the Vegan invasion.  The Space Science Centre is what was to become Grendizer's base.

The Space Science Centre remained a secret hideout for Grendizer until very early in the series.  The Vegans soon realized where Grendizer was hidden and launched their assaults on the Space Science Centre in an effort to leave Grendizer without a base.

Early in the Grendizer series, the Space Science Centre remained a basic institute as it was meant to be.  A place for astronomical research and study, as seen above.

Later on, this Centre became a battle station for Grendizer and the other 3 Spazers, as seen above.  This was the inevitable fate of the Space Science Centre.  Because his goal and dream is to explore the vast universe, Dr. Umon's hope was to not turn this Centre into a battle station.

First Daisuke Umon will run through a hallway, as seen below.  Finally he reaches underground where Grendizer is, and Daisuke Umon will transform to Duke Freed.

In the early episodes, he jumped through a passageway that took him downwards underground where Grendizer is.

In the later episodes, he jumped down to a launch rocket that took him straight through the bottom of the Space Science Centre.  Then this rocket will reach the Grendizer launch room and Daisuke Umon will jump off the rocket and turn to Duke Freed.

In the early episodes, Grendizer came out from the Standard Route, as seen below.

This continued up to episode 18, when Dr. Umon revealed the new Grendizer launch routes.  The most common route is Route 7.  This is because it is the furthest one away from the Space Science Centre.  Route 7 was the first secret route that was used by Grendizer.
